This offline consultation event, now in its third year, aims to support the successful conclusion of export contracts by identifying prominent overseas buyers, providing customized one-on-one matching with local small and medium-sized enterprises, and offering professional interpretation services.

Earlier, from August 25 to September 19, the province matched 100 local companies with 175 buyers through an online video platform in two phases, resulting in a total of 726 consultations worth approximately 85 million dollars. Based on these results, 55 companies with high contract potential were selected and invited to this offline event. The province plans to support direct discussions between companies and buyers on details such as price competitiveness and export procedures, helping to facilitate contract agreements.

This year’s event will feature buyers from 55 companies across 19 countries, including the Americas, Greater China, Japan, and Southeast Asia, as well as 101 local companies from various sectors such as food, beauty, and healthcare.

During the consultation period, each buyer will participate in up to 16 export-related meetings. After the event, a familiarization tour of the Wonju area will be organized for the participating buyers.

Kim Manho, Director of Economic Affairs for Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, stated, "We hope this export consultation event will provide practical support for local small and medium-sized enterprises to expand into overseas markets and increase exports, and that it will serve as an opportunity to widely promote the excellence of Gangwon-made products in the global market."
