Notably, it features the "Bronze Vase" excavated from the site of Heungjeon-ri Temple in Samcheok, which was designated as a Treasure in September this year, and the "Gilt-bronze Standing Bodhisattva" (Treasure) from the site of Seonlimwon Temple in Yangyang.
The exhibition highlights newly acquired Buddhist artworks and pieces displayed using innovative techniques. Six "Kalavinka Patterned Roof Tiles," adorned with motifs of Kalavinka birds said to reside in paradise, are being presented to the public for the first time. The "Bronze Vase" exemplifies the refined and sophisticated aesthetics of Unified Silla metalcraft.
In addition, the "Buddha Face Sculpture" from the site of Mulgeolli Temple in Hongcheon, with just a single fragment measuring up to 30 centimeters, is being exhibited upright for the first time using 3D modeling techniques.
