Daegu Seo District Designates Samik New Town Shopping Center and Seobu Market Dalseo-ro Area as 'Alley-type Shopping Districts'
Seo District in Daegu (District Mayor Ryu Han-guk) announced on the 24th that it has designated 'Samik New Town Shopping Center' in Naedang-dong and the 'Dalseo-ro Commercial Area' near Seobu Market in Bisan-dong as the 4th and 5th alley-type shopping districts in Seo District.
An alley-type shopping district refers to an area where a certain number of shops operated by small business owners are clustered together. Like traditional markets or shopping districts, these areas can be registered as Onnuri Gift Certificate affiliates. They can also benefit from support programs for revitalization, such as participating in contests run by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Small Enterprise and Market Service.
In particular, the 'Dalseo-ro Haengbok Alley-type Shopping District' is a commercial area formed by around 190 stores clustered along Dalseo-ro, which has high foot traffic near Seobu Market. By registering as Onnuri Gift Certificate affiliates, which offer a 5-10% discount, it is expected to help attract more customers and increase sales.
With this designation, the number of alley-type shopping districts in Seo District has increased to a total of five, including 'Queens Road,' 'Wondae Furniture Specialty Street,' and 'Keunjang-ro Intersection.'
