Two New Products: Pyeongchang Potato Cheese Bread and Pyeongchang Potato Ciabatta
Shinsegae Food announced on November 24 that it has launched new bakery products made with “Pyeongchang potatoes,” a specialty of Pyeongchang in Gangwon Province.
Shinsegae Food introduced two new items-“Pyeongchang Potato Cheese Bread” and “Pyeongchang Potato Ciabatta”-at its bakery stores “Boulangerie” and “E(Bakery)” located inside Emart branches nationwide. The “Pyeongchang Potato Cheese Bread (4 pieces)” is a snack bread filled with mashed potatoes made from Pyeongchang potatoes, bacon, and cheese, sandwiched between soft butter bread for a satisfying treat. The “Pyeongchang Potato Ciabatta (5 pieces)” is a meal bread featuring potato chunks inside bread baked with dough containing Pyeongchang potatoes. The two products are priced at 7,980 won and 6,980 won, respectively.
A Shinsegae Food representative stated, “The ‘loconomy’ trend, where products featuring local specialties are gaining attention, continues to receive a positive response,” adding, “We will continue our efforts to promote local specialties, support regional communities, and help local farms thrive by expanding distribution through various channels.”
