Themes of Emotion, Comfort, Beauty, and Excitement
Free Admission for All Audiences
The Iksan City Choir of North Jeolla Province will hold its 90th Regular Concert, titled "Harmony - Resonance of the Heart," at the Grand Theater of the Iksan Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. on December 4.
According to the city on November 21, this concert will be organized around four themes-emotion, comfort, beauty, and excitement-featuring a wide range of works from classical choral pieces to those with a modern sensibility.
In the first part, "Dark Night of the Soul" by Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo and "Mass" by Steve Dobrogosz will be performed. The rich harmony of piano, strings, and choir will express inner peace and comfort.
The second part will feature lyrical and profound choral works, including "Old Autumn" (composed by Park Nari), "Unforgettable" (composed by Cho Hyeyoung), and "Voyage" (composed by Park Moonhee). These songs, which capture the journey of love, parting, and life, will deliver warmth and consolation to the audience.
The concert will conclude with "Many Moods of Christmas," arranged by Kim Kiyoung. Familiar Christmas carols will be reinterpreted with sophisticated harmonies and diverse rhythms, conveying the excitement and joy of Christmas to the audience and adding a beautiful touch to the year-end season.
Admission to the concert is free for all seats. Reservations can be made for up to four tickets per person starting at 2:00 p.m. on November 24 through the Iksan Arts Center website. For more information, please visit the website or contact by phone.
