Paju City Leads the Way in Housing Welfare

Paju City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 21st that it received the Win-Win Award (Excellence Award) in the institution category at the 8th Korea Housing Welfare Culture Awards ceremony for 2025, held on the 20th.

View original imageThe Korea Housing Welfare Culture Awards were established to discover and promote outstanding cases of institutions, organizations, and citizens who have contributed to the creation of beautiful housing welfare communities. Awards are presented in a total of six categories: Grand Prize, Excellence Award, Innovation Award (Organization/Best), Win-Win Award (Organization/Excellence), Leading Award (Individual/Best), and Practice Award (Individual/Excellence).
Paju City was selected as the recipient of the Win-Win Award in recognition of its achievements in building a housing safety net and promoting housing welfare policies based on public-private cooperation.
In particular, Paju City, centered around the Paju City Housing Welfare Center, is leading the realization of housing welfare that citizens can truly experience by implementing a variety of projects, including support for improving housing conditions for vulnerable groups, customized housing environment improvements, and assistance for victims of rental fraud.
Kim Kyoungil, Mayor of Paju City, stated, "This award is the result of Paju City's housing welfare policies created together with our citizens," and added, "We will further strengthen our basic housing policies so that everyone can live in a safe and warm home."
