Taihan Cable Achieves 'Integrated A Grade' in ESG for Five Consecutive Years
Maintaining Top ESG Grade in the Cable Industry Since 2021
Strong Performance Across Environmental, Social, and Governance Sectors
Taihan Cable announced on November 20 that it received an 'Integrated A Grade (Excellent)' in the 2025 ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) evaluation conducted by the Korea ESG Standards Institute (KCGS).
With this, Taihan Cable has maintained its distinction for five consecutive years since it became the only company in the cable industry to receive an Integrated A Grade in 2021.
The Korea ESG Standards Institute is an organization that evaluates the ESG status of Korean companies and assigns grades for each sector as well as an integrated grade. This year, the institute evaluated 1,024 companies. As a result, 805 companies listed on the Korea Exchange received ESG grades. Among these, 216 companies received an A grade or higher, placing them in the top 27%.
In this year's evaluation, Taihan Cable received favorable grades of A in the environmental (E) sector, A in the social (S) sector, and B+ in the governance (G) sector. The company explained that these results reflect high marks for its systematic implementation plans and strong company-wide commitment in each sector.
In practice, Taihan Cable has established solar power facilities and continued ecosystem protection activities based on its carbon neutrality roadmap. The company has also engaged in comprehensive social contribution activities, including volunteering for local communities, blood donation drives, and support for disaster victims. In addition, Taihan Cable employs athletes with disabilities and supports their training, and operates customized family-friendly policies throughout the life cycle-from pregnancy and childbirth to childcare-to address low birth rates and enhance employee welfare.
