DS Danseok Receives Overall B+ Rating in KCGS ESG Evaluation
DS Danseok, a resource circulation energy company, announced on November 20 that it has received an overall B+ rating in the 2025 ESG evaluation by the Korea ESG Standards Institute (KCGS).
The Korea ESG Standards Institute is a public interest organization that establishes major ESG-related standards and conducts evaluations. Each year, it assesses the levels of Environment (E), Social (S), and Governance (G) among domestic listed companies and announces their ratings.
This year, a total of 1,090 companies were evaluated, an increase of 24 from last year. Of these, 805 are listed on the Korea Exchange. The ratings were distributed as follows: S (0 companies), A+ (19 companies), A (197 companies), B+ (126 companies), B (66 companies), C (161 companies), and D (236 companies).
DS Danseok received an overall B+ rating, with a B rating in Environment, a B+ rating in Social, and a B+ rating in Governance.
In the Environment category, the company was recognized for its performance in addressing environmental issues, such as setting climate change and carbon neutrality goals and disclosing related strategies. In the Social category, improvements in occupational safety and health and the human rights management system were acknowledged. In the Governance category, the company received positive evaluations for the operation of its board of directors and the role of independent committees centered on outside directors.
A DS Danseok representative stated, "To advance ESG management, we have been publishing a sustainability report since 2021 and operating an internal committee with participation from the entire organization, making multifaceted efforts. We will continue striving to create more tangible value in the areas of environment, social, and governance."
