Miryang City is considered a representative region facing both population decline and labor shortages. In response, the Yangsan Branch has been working to build a cooperative system involving industry, academia, and government, aiming to deeply analyze local employment trends and develop effective job strategies that can be felt by both companies and job seekers.
The meeting was attended by a total of 10 organizations, including the Yangsan Branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, Miryang City, Miryang Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Pusan National University Miryang Campus, Gyeongnam Regional Women's New Employment Center, Sapo General Industrial Complex Council, Space Pro Co., Ltd., Youngnam Electric Technology Academy, Miryang City General Welfare Center, and Gyeongnam Miryang Regional Self-Sufficiency Center.
During the meeting, a successful case of workforce linkage at the metropolitan level, such as between Gimhae and Busan, by Company A, a leading local enterprise in Miryang, was introduced. Participants also shared the main projects and achievements of each organization, as well as the recruitment challenges faced by companies on the ground.
The participating organizations agreed to continue close cooperation in order to share information on employment-related projects, establish tailored employment and self-sufficiency support systems, and promote inter-agency collaboration and joint programs.
This network-building initiative is regarded as the first step in transforming previously fragmented employment, welfare, and education projects into an integrated cooperation model. In particular, it is expected to enable more precise responses to alleviating local companies' recruitment difficulties and improving the unemployment rate.
