The ceremony was attended by Lee Byungjin, President of Busan Transportation Corporation; Chun Hakki, Director of Competency Assessment at the Human Resources Development Service of Korea; Song Kilyong, Head of the Busan Regional Headquarters; Yoon Wanseop, Director of the Busan Southern Branch; and Kim Junhui, Director of the Busan Regional Employment and Labor Office.
President Lee Byungjin stated, "We have continuously expanded citizen convenience facilities within metro stations," adding, "Attracting the Digital Test Center is a particularly meaningful achievement among these efforts."
Director Yoon Wanseop emphasized, "There has been a shortage of dedicated test centers in Busan, causing significant inconvenience for test-takers," and added, "By establishing a CBT test center within a metro station, we have created a more accessible and safer testing environment."
The two organizations signed a business agreement in October last year to expand the digital test center infrastructure and have been working on its development since then. In July of this year, the nation's first digital test center within a metro station was opened at Dongnae Station on Line 4, with Gwang-an Station now being the second. Dongnae Station has four rooms with 114 seats, and Gwang-an Station has four rooms with 103 seats, allowing a total of 217 people to take exams simultaneously.
