Ansan City Signs Friendship Alliance Agreement with Yeongdong County

Exchange and Cooperation in Economy and Tourism,
Direct Trade of Local Specialties and More

Ansan City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 18th that it had signed a friendship alliance agreement with Yeongdong County at the Yeongdong County Office in North Chungcheong Province on the 17th.

The signing ceremony was attended by Mingeun Lee, Mayor of Ansan City; Taesoon Park, Chairman of Ansan City Council; Youngchul Jung, Governor of Yeongdong County; Hyunkwang Shin, Chairman of Yeongdong County Council; as well as city and county council members from both regions.

Under the agreement, the two local governments committed to building a practical model for mutual regional development through: ▲ exchanges and cooperation in the fields of economy, culture, arts, sports, and tourism; ▲ direct trade of local specialties and linkage of tourism resources; and ▲ sharing administrative information and policy experiences. Through these efforts, both local governments aim to strengthen mutual cooperation for the joint prosperity of local governments and the well-being of city and county residents.

Mingeun Lee, Mayor of Ansan City, stated, "This alliance between Ansan City, a maritime cultural tourism city, and Yeongdong County, a cultural city of the inland, marks the beginning of a partnership where tradition and modernity, industry and culture grow together. I hope that through active exchanges, both local governments will share their strengths and bring genuine happiness to everyone."
