Gangneung City in Gangwon Province (Mayor Kim Hongkyu) will launch a free metropolitan shuttle bus service connecting Gangneung Station and Yangyang International Airport starting November 17, in order to improve transportation convenience for tourists and residents and to enhance global tourism accessibility.

View original imageThis free metropolitan shuttle bus service is part of the "Gangneung Tourism Hub City Development Project," and has been introduced to expand transportation infrastructure so that both domestic and international tourists can visit Gangneung more conveniently.
The shuttle bus will operate twice daily, round-trip, between KTX Gangneung Station and Yangyang International Airport. The service is free of charge and can be used on a first-come, first-served basis without prior reservation.
The daily shuttle bus schedules and boarding/drop-off locations at Gangneung Station and Yangyang Airport can be found on the Gangneung City website. The timetable has been arranged to align with the departure and arrival times of Parata Airlines, which recently began regular flights at Yangyang International Airport, thereby enhancing practical transfer convenience.
Gangneung City plans to analyze future flight schedules and passenger demand for the shuttle bus and will flexibly adjust the number of operations as needed.
