View original imageThe newly appointed chairman held his inauguration ceremony at the Sejong National Research Complex that morning and said in his inaugural address, "The Council will support and encourage each institution to effectively fulfill its core responsibilities and achieve concrete results." Lee, who took office on November 10, will serve a three-year term until November 9, 2028.
Lee further remarked, "By fostering collaboration and collective intelligence among research institutes, we will realize the vision of the President and the government, and create an environment where researchers can take pride in their work." He added, "The Council and research institutes will go beyond merely producing research reports, striving to deliver outcomes that influence policy implementation and provide substantial support to government ministries."
Lee's previous roles include Director of the Seongnam Social Enterprise Support Center, President of the Gyeonggi Research Institute, President of the Institute for Democracy, and Chair of the Presidential National Planning Advisory Committee. He is also known as a policy mentor to President Lee Jaemyung.
