The Korea Golf Course Management Association is strengthening safety inspections at golf courses nationwide.
On November 13, the association announced, "Following a recent accident involving a work cart at a domestic golf course, we have decided to strengthen safety inspections at golf courses nationwide by visiting eight regional councils throughout October. We have set safety management of cart roads, replacement of outdated equipment, and enhanced training for outsourced personnel as our core tasks."

In addition, member companies have been instructed to submit their own semi-annual safety checklists and photographic evidence, and failure to submit will result in inclusion as a target for strengthened on-site inspections.
An association representative stated, "Recently, various accidents at golf courses have drawn attention to a level comparable to that of industrial sites, and golf courses should be recognized not just as leisure facilities but as workplaces with established safety management systems. Systematic management of equipment and facilities, as well as the creation of a comprehensive safety environment that includes the safety of outsourced workers and users, is essential for the future operation of golf courses," he emphasized.

The association also announced the results of ongoing discussions on the public golf course designation system and standard contract terms, which are being conducted jointly with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the private sector, and the association. The association stated, "While the Ministry expressed the view that the option to choose carts and caddies should be gradually expanded, we maintained our position that such a system cannot be introduced due to geographical characteristics, safety risks, and employment instability. Regarding the mandatory card payment of caddie fees, we also opposed expansion without supplementary measures, as the associated fees reduce caddies' actual income and negatively impact job stability."
