Gyeonggi Agency Visits Candidate Sites in Paju for Relocation
Action Plan for Lease-Based Move to Be Established Within This Year
The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency (hereinafter referred to as "Gyeonggi Agency") visited the Paju area on November 6 to inspect candidate sites for the agency's relocation to Paju and to review the feasibility of the move in detail.
This visit was led by Kim Hyungon, President of the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency, who personally visited the Unjeong area to discuss relocation plans. Officials from Paju City and other related parties participated on-site, touring potential lease sites and comprehensively assessing factors such as building size, facility conditions, transportation accessibility, and surrounding industrial infrastructure, while discussing the direction of the relocation.
The Gyeonggi Agency expects that this on-site visit will accelerate the relocation process to Paju. The agency plans to establish an action plan for the lease-based relocation within this year through close cooperation with Paju City.
An official from Paju City stated, "The relocation of the Gyeonggi Agency to Paju is an important milestone for balanced development in northern Gyeonggi Province and for strengthening the foundation for a self-sustaining city. We will spare no administrative support to ensure the agency relocates smoothly and strengthens the foundation for regional industrial development."
