View original imageThis contest, under the subtitle 'A Different Side of Sokcho,' was planned to reinterpret existing tourist attractions and uncover the hidden charms of Sokcho. In particular, it aims to discover 'a new face of Sokcho travel' that resonates with the younger generation through fresh photo content tailored to the sensibilities of Millennials & Gen Z.
The contest theme is open to photos capturing not only the landscapes of Sokcho but also 'moments in Sokcho' experienced and felt directly by citizens and tourists. The goal is to move beyond traditional landscape photography and highlight the diversity of Sokcho by focusing on new spots with social media appeal.
There are no restrictions on eligibility. Entries must be photos taken with a smartphone or digital camera within the past three years (from November 2022 to November 25, 2025). Each person may submit up to five photos, and each photo must be at least 3,000 pixels and over 2MB in size.
Aside from basic color correction or cropping, composite images or those created using AI will be excluded from judging.
Entries must be submitted online via Naver Form, and there is no entry fee.
A total of 23 winners will be selected: one Grand Prize winner (2 million won), two Excellence Award winners (500,000 won each), and 20 Honorable Mentions (200,000 won each), with total prize money amounting to 7 million won.
The selected works will be featured on the official Sokcho City website and social media channels, and will also be used for future promotional print materials and e-books, among other content.
