High School Student on Jeju School Trip Dies After Falling from Eighth-Floor Hotel Room at Night
Police: "Accidentally Fell While Trying to Move to Lower Floor Through Window"
A high school student on a school trip to Jeju died after falling from a hotel room.
According to the Seogwipo Police Station and other sources on November 5, a first-year high school student, identified as A, who was on a school trip, fell from the eighth floor of a hotel in Seogwipo, Jeju, at 11:59 p.m. on November 4 and died.
A was transported to the hospital by emergency responders but was pronounced dead.
According to police, A was attempting to descend to a lower floor through the window of an eighth-floor room when he lost his footing and accidentally fell to his death.
It was reported that A had arrived in Jeju from Seoul for the school trip on the day of the accident. The school decided to cancel the remainder of the trip and returned to Seoul that day.

The police stated, "There are no indications of foul play," adding, "We are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident."
