Wash Your Work Clothes Right at the Workplace... BNK Busan Bank Supports Operation of 'Dongbaek Workplace Cleaning'
Support Ceremony Held at Mieum Industrial Complex
Helping Improve Working Conditions
What if you could wash your work clothes right at your busy workplace?
On November 5, BNK Busan Bank (President Bang Sungbin) held an operational support ceremony at 'Dongbaek Workplace Cleaning,' a public laundry facility for workers in the Mieum Industrial Complex, Gangseo-gu, Busan.
The event was attended by Minister of Employment and Labor Kim Younghoon, BNK Financial Group Chairman Bin Daein, Busan Bank President Bang Sungbin, Gangseo District Mayor Kim Hyungchan, Busan Marine Equipment Association Chairman Choi Geumsik, Busan YWCA President Kim Hyejin, as well as about 50 workers from the Mieum Industrial Complex.
'Dongbaek Workplace Cleaning' is the first public laundry facility for workers in Busan, established in 2020 through cooperation between the city of Busan, the Marine Equipment Association, and the Gangseo District Self-Sufficiency Center, to wash and manage work clothes for industrial complex workers.

To protect workers' working conditions and ensure the sustainability of social jobs, Busan Bank changed the name of the laundry to 'Dongbaek Workplace Cleaning with BNK Busan Bank' and began providing operational support.
Busan Bank will cover the annual rent, equipment maintenance, and costs for improving working conditions for employees. The bank also plans to help the laundry become self-sustaining in the future.
Minister of Employment and Labor Kim Younghoon praised the initiative, stating, "BNK Busan Bank's generous support goes beyond typical corporate contributions and shows how the quality of workers' lives can improve when the government, local governments, the private sector, and the community come together. It is both an example of social responsibility in action and an excellent success story."
