Busan Office of Education to Run "Class Sharing Together" Program for Kindergarten Teachers
A First Step Toward Spreading a Child-Led, Learning-Centered Classroom Culture
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Seokjun) will run the second semester "Class Sharing Together" program for approximately 100 local kindergarten teachers from November 6 to November 21, 2025.
This program has evolved from the case-based approach of the first semester to a more advanced, hands-on format, where teachers directly open their classes for observation by their peers. It is considered significant as it marks the full-scale resumption of open kindergarten classes, which had been suspended since the COVID-19 pandemic.
Participating teachers will engage in a "Class Talk" session after their lessons to discuss challenges and directions for improvement in the educational field, share exemplary cases, and strengthen their collaborative learning community. Through this, the program aims to enhance teachers' teaching and learning capabilities and to spread field-centered educational innovation models.
A total of five teachers will participate in the open classes, presenting child-led lesson cases based on the 2019 revised Nuri Curriculum. The program will feature various play-based classes, such as "Imaginative Play Created by Us," "Fun Picture Book Activities," and "Mathematics Connection (E-U-M) at Camping."
In addition, educational content that aligns with the era of digital transformation, such as "The Meeting of Art and Digital" and "Digital and Ecological Play Classes," will also be introduced, suggesting the direction for future-oriented early childhood education.
