Sung Si-kyung Suffers Financial Losses from 10-Year Manager... Agency "Verifying Extent of Damages"
Handled concerts and events... Now left the company
Singer Sung Si-kyung is reported to have suffered financial losses due to his longtime manager.
On November 3, his agency SK Jaewon stated, "It has been confirmed that Sung Si-kyung's former manager engaged in actions that betrayed the company's trust during the course of work while employed." The agency added, "Through an internal investigation, we recognized the seriousness of the matter and are currently verifying the exact extent of the damages." They continued, "The employee in question has already left the company. We acknowledge our responsibility for management and supervision, and we are overhauling our internal management system to prevent similar incidents from recurring."
Previously, a media outlet reported that Manager A, who had worked with Sung Si-kyung for over ten years, caused financial losses to Sung Si-kyung, related subcontractors, and stakeholders due to work-related issues. Although the exact amount of the losses has not been disclosed, it is reported that the scale of the damage is significant.
Manager A moved to SK Jaewon with Sung Si-kyung when he left his previous agency to establish the new company, and has been responsible for the practical aspects of Sung Si-kyung's major activities, including concerts, broadcasts, advertisements, and events. However, it was revealed that issues came to light during a recent internal audit, leading to the manager's departure from the company.
