Dong-A University to Host 'DONG-A International Day' on November 6... A Global Festival for Cultural Exchange Between International Students and Local Residents
Collaboration with Busan English Broadcasting
Participation from International Students of 22 Countries
Dong-A University (President Lee Haewoo) will host the 'DONG-A International Day with Busan English Broadcasting' event at the Bumin Campus on November 6.
This year's event is held in collaboration with Busan English Broadcasting (BeFM)'s program 'All-Star English,' aiming to expand exchanges between local residents and international students, and to strengthen the sense of community among foreign students living in the region.
The event, which will take place at the central plaza of Bumin Campus, will feature a live broadcast stage for 'We Are K.' Singer Kim Johan, Yein from Lovelyz, comedian Lee Sanghoon, DJ Perry, Kim Jiyoon, Shin Minsu from Busan English Broadcasting, and Busan's communication character 'Bugi' will participate to entertain the audience.
Additionally, there will be performances by international student teams from China, Japan, Vietnam, India, Indonesia, and Myanmar, as well as performances by the Arian Team (Korean traditional music), BASTARZ (dance), and the Dong-A University Taekwondo demonstration team. Visitors can also experience traditional Korean games and clothing, sample traditional foods from international students, and visit promotional booths for international exchange programs.
A total of 25 booths will be operated by international students from 22 countries, providing students and local residents with opportunities to experience and exchange various cultures.
President Lee Haewoo stated, "We expect this year's International Day to be even more enriching through our collaboration with Busan English Broadcasting. We hope that foreign students and local residents will enjoy diverse cultural exchanges together. As a glocal university, Dong-A University will lay the foundation for increasing the settlement rate of international students through mutual growth between the university and the local community."

Currently, Dong-A University has over 2,113 international students from 52 countries enrolled and provides a venue for exchange between students and local residents through the annual International Day event.
