This year, under the autumn sunshine, local residents and tourists came together, showcasing the true essence of Haenam, the "home of flavor."
On the first day of the festival, October 31, a parade featuring local specialties with residents from 14 towns and townships took place, followed by a performance proclaiming the "Haenam 8 Flavors." After the opening ceremony, the Minam Trot Celebration Show received enthusiastic responses from the audience.
The program that drew the most attention was the "515 Kimchi Mixing" event, in which 250 tourists participated. Using cabbages symbolizing Haenam's 515 villages, participants made kimchi, widely promoting the excellence of local agricultural products. Following this, the "2025 Tteokguk Sharing" event, featuring rice and laver from Haenam, also proved to be popular.
In addition, venues such as the "Haenam Table Pavilion," featuring dishes made with the Haenam 8 Flavors, the "Minam Food Hall" operated by local restaurants, and the "Snack Pavilion" offering specialty snacks, were continuously crowded with visitors. Long lines formed at every sales booth as tourists eagerly purchased Haenam's agricultural and marine specialties as well as processed foods.

The festival grounds were decorated with more than 28,000 chrysanthemums, creating a full autumn atmosphere. The chrysanthemum exhibition area was adorned with dinosaur sculptures and colorful lights, offering beautiful sights both day and night. Notably, this year, all restaurants within the festival grounds eliminated single-use items and adopted reusable containers to minimize waste. Haenam County announced its intention to use this festival as an opportunity to transition toward an "eco-friendly festival."
