The process involves sequentially shutting off valves in the water supply district from midnight to 5 a.m., when water usage is low, and analyzing changes in flow and pressure to identify leaking sections and improve the water supply rate.
This step test is part of the "Sokcho City Professional Water Supply Network Maintenance Service," which has been implemented since January this year. The test will be conducted for 10 days from 12:05 a.m. to 5:05 a.m. in 15 out of Sokcho's 26 water supply districts.
The shutoff will be carried out in each supply district and will take place for ten days between November 5 and December 5. The actual shutoff time is expected to last about 5 to 10 minutes.
The step test will be conducted throughout Sokcho City, except for Nohak-dong. To minimize inconvenience to residents, Sokcho City will promote the schedule through local community centers before the water supply is temporarily shut off.
In addition, immediately after the step test is completed and tap water supply resumes, there may be temporary turbidity or suspended matter in the water. Residents are advised to let the water run sufficiently before use.
