Yuhan-Kimberly, a leading company in women's products (CEO and President Lee Jehun), has launched the derma sanitary pad "Good Feel Sensitive Skin."
This new product was developed to reflect the expectations of Korean consumers who place great importance on Y-zone skin. In Korea, women recognize that Y-zone skin is directly related to women's health and rate its importance very highly. In fact, according to a skin awareness survey conducted by Yuhan-Kimberly in July 2025 with 200 consumers, Y-zone skin (37%) was selected as the most important skin area on the body. This indicates a deep interest in the Y-zone, as it was rated even more important than the face (19%).
However, care for Y-zone skin has not yet become a daily routine. Especially during menstruation, Y-zone skin can become even more sensitive, requiring special care. Taking this into consideration, Good Feel Sensitive Skin focuses on providing a soft and comfortable wearing experience. The core technology is the silk touch topsheet, which minimizes irritation to Y-zone skin. This innovation has dramatically improved skin friction rates by 38% compared to the company's previous products, allowing users to directly experience differentiated softness and comfort.
Additionally, the product has received the mark of the Skin Health Alliance (SHA), a UK-based skin health nonprofit organization. It is free from 67 types of allergens, allowing for comfortable use, and has passed derma sensitivity tests. Its absorbency is also 7.6 times faster than previous products. This is made possible by the patented air pocket absorption structure, which is designed to absorb menstrual fluid instantly upon contact with the lining, ensuring dryness without stickiness or dampness throughout use.
Yuhan-Kimberly has been strengthening its Y-zone skin care solutions and derma product lineup based on its expertise in products that come into direct contact with the skin, such as facial tissues, sanitary pads, and diapers, as well as its deep understanding of Korean consumers. In the women's products business, the company has launched feminine cleansers and feminine cleansing tissues under the Good Feel The Balance brand, making a full-scale entry into the domestic Y-zone balance care market, which is estimated to be worth 100 billion won. In the baby products business, Yuhan-Kimberly has also launched "Huggies Skin Essential," a derma diaper positioned as a next-generation strategic product.
