Cadillac to Launch "Escalade IQ" with "Super Cruise" Next Month
Longest Driving Range in Korea: 739km on a Single Charge
Korea's First Hands-Free Driver Assistance System
Cadillac announced on the 27th that it will launch the flagship electric SUV model, the "Escalade IQ," equipped with its hands-free driver assistance system (ADAS) "Super Cruise," in Korea next month.
Building on the legacy of the Escalade, which has sold over 1 million units worldwide since the debut of its first generation in 1998, this model combines advanced electrification technology with the prestige of a full-size SUV.
Based on GM's latest dedicated electric vehicle architecture, it is equipped with a high-capacity 205kWh battery, certified for a maximum driving range of 739 kilometers (combined standard) on a single charge-one of the longest in Korea. The 800V ultra-fast charging system supports charging speeds of up to 350kW, enabling up to 188 kilometers of driving range with just a 10-minute charge.
The "eAWD dual motor" system, optimally paired with the battery, delivers up to 750 horsepower (in Velocity Mode) and 108.5 kg·m of torque, providing explosive acceleration and a remarkably quiet driving environment.
Advanced features such as the "pillar-to-pillar 55-inch curved LED display" spanning the dashboard and the "AKG Studio Reference Sound System" with 38 speakers are included, offering the ultimate luxury electric vehicle experience through premium materials and meticulous detailing.
Notably, "Super Cruise" is being introduced in Korea for the first time. This hands-free driving technology allows the driver to take their hands off the steering wheel while keeping their eyes on the road, automatically changing lanes by detecting traffic flow and delivering a next-level driving experience. It is currently available on approximately 23,000 kilometers of highways and major arterial roads.
The "Arrival Mode," which utilizes rear-wheel steering, is designed for precise maneuvering in tight spaces, enhancing steering performance during parking and low-speed driving. The 345-liter front storage space, or "e-trunk," adds new convenience.
