Yeoncheon County in Gyeonggi Province successfully hosted the "Yeoncheon County Smart Precision Agriculture Seminar" at the Yeoncheon Sureul Art Hall Grand Performance Hall on October 23.

View original imageThis seminar was organized to gather diverse expert opinions in order to design a precision agriculture model tailored to Yeoncheon and to build consensus on field-oriented, digital-based agriculture. Over 300 participants, including Yeoncheon County Mayor Kim Deokhyeon, Gyeonggi Provincial Assemblyman Yoon Jongyeong, representatives from farmers' organizations, related agencies, and local residents, attended the event, demonstrating strong interest.
Despite the busy farming season, a large number of farmers actively participated, expressing high expectations and positive responses toward precision agriculture.
During the seminar: ▲ Nam Jaejak, Director of the Korea Precision Agriculture Institute, introduced the concept and real-world applications of precision agriculture with a presentation on "Understanding and Application Cases of AI-Based Precision Agriculture"; ▲ Seong Jehoon, Director of the Gyeonggi-do Agricultural Research and Extension Services, presented "Introduction Strategies and Promotion Directions for Yeoncheon-Style Precision Agriculture," outlining future strategies for Yeoncheon to advance into smart agriculture.
