National Library of Korea to Participate in '2025 Paju Fair Book & Culture'... Operates Deposit Promotion Booth
Deposit Promotion Booth to Operate on October 25-26
The National Library of Korea will operate a deposit promotion booth at the '2025 Paju Fair Book & Culture,' which will be held in the Paju Book City area from October 25 to 26.
In accordance with the Library Act, the National Library of Korea collects and preserves all library materials published in the country. In particular, following the amendment of the law in 2016, the scope has expanded to include online materials such as e-books, audiobooks, and webtoons, further strengthening efforts to preserve the nation's intellectual and cultural heritage for future generations.
At this year's Paju Fair, the library will screen promotional videos for publishing professionals and the general public, and host a variety of interactive events such as an initial consonant quiz, souvenir giveaways, and four-cut photo sessions, aiming to widely promote the significance and importance of the deposit system.
