Jang Donghyuk: "Filing Complaint Against Special Prosecutor Min Junggi Over Undisclosed Information Stock Trading Allegations"
Jang Donghyuk, Leader of the People Power Party, announced on the 17th that he would file a complaint against Special Prosecutor Min Junggi, who has come under suspicion for stock trading using undisclosed information and for allegedly coercive investigations of Yangpyeong public officials.
At a press briefing held at the National Assembly on this day, Leader Jang stated, "The hypocrisy and illegality of Special Prosecutor Min have been fully exposed," adding, "Under the protection of the Lee Jaemyung administration and the 'Gaeddal' (the fervent supporters of President Lee Jaemyung), Special Prosecutor Min, who claimed to be a champion of justice, has revealed his true colors as a thief in judicial robes, a 'beopbi' (legal bandit)."
Regarding the allegation that Special Prosecutor Min earned over 100 million won in profits from stock trading using undisclosed information around 2010, Leader Jang said, "While serving as a presiding judge at the Seoul High Court, he made huge stock market gains using undisclosed information," and criticized, "His excuse that he invested based on an acquaintance's introduction and sold the stocks upon a securities firm's employee's recommendation, despite not being a company insider, is a shameless and deceptive argument that betrays both the public and the victims."
The Reform Party also criticized Special Prosecutor Min over the allegations of undisclosed stock investments and called for his resignation. Chief Spokesperson Lee Donghun stated in a commentary, "It has been reported that First Lady Kim Keonhee, who is under investigation by Special Prosecutor Min, also invested in the same stock," and pointed out, "It is contradictory for someone who questioned the morality of First Lady Kim's stock trading to have profited from the same stock himself."

Chief Spokesperson Lee further argued, "How can the public trust the outcome when the person responsible for conducting an impartial investigation independent from power is himself embroiled in such suspicions?" He insisted, "Special Prosecutor Min must respond not with excuses, but by resigning. The Lee Jaemyung administration and the Democratic Party, who recommended and endorsed him, must also clarify their positions on this matter."
