An apartment complex in Songpa-gu, Seoul, posted a notice requesting that people remove their helmets when entering the premises. The reason given was that many residents felt uneasy when encountering individuals wearing helmets, leading to a high number of complaints.
On the 17th, a cooperation request titled "Request for Refraining from Wearing Helmets When Entering" was shared on an online community. The apartment management office stated, "Recently, users of motorcycles, bicycles, and kickboards have been entering and exiting the apartment premises while wearing helmets (especially those that cover the face), which has made residents feel uneasy and resulted in numerous complaints."

This is a request for cooperation to ensure a safe living environment for all residents, and we kindly ask for your active cooperation." The notice did not specifically mention delivery drivers, suggesting that the request applies to all individuals entering the apartment, including residents themselves.

Online users also expressed agreement with the notice. Comments included, "I wish people would take off their helmets when riding the elevator," "It seems to be because of crime. Let's take it positively," and "It seems reasonable as a preventive measure."
In May of last year, there was also discussion about an apartment that posted a notice asking people to remove their helmets before entering. A user in a delivery workers' online community uploaded a photo of the notice and commented, "There are more and more apartments making unreasonable demands." Some online users agreed, saying, "I don't want to go to apartments like this," and "I'll wear my helmet even more out of spite." However, many others took the opposite view, stating, "The world is a dangerous place these days," and "I understand the apartment's position."
