Coway Wins Winner Prize at 2025 Japan Good Design Award
"Inverter Dehumidifier 23L" Praised for Compact Design and User-Centric Details
Coway announced on October 15 that it has won the Winner prize at the 2025 Japan Good Design Award, further solidifying its global design competitiveness.
The Good Design Award is Japan's most prestigious international design competition, organized by the Japan Institute of Design Promotion (JDP). It is recognized as one of the world's top four design awards, alongside Germany's iF and Red Dot, and the United States' IDEA Design Award. With this award, Coway has claimed all four of the world's major design awards this year.
The award-winning "Inverter Dehumidifier 23L" delivers a powerful dehumidification capacity of up to 23 liters per day despite its compact size. It achieves optimal humidity in about 30 minutes-approximately three times faster than previous models-and features a large 6.1-liter water tank, reducing the frequency of emptying.
Coway explained that the product's clean and simple form is enhanced by a midline division for greater aesthetic appeal, and its soft ivory and beige colors allow it to blend seamlessly into any space.
The company also increased the size of the control panel and applied an intuitive interface to improve ease of use. The side water tank can be easily attached and detached with one hand, and user-centric details such as 360-degree rotating wheels, a hidden handle, and a power cord storage compartment were highly praised.
