YGPA and Korea Industrial Safety Association Sign Safety Cooperation Agreement to Prevent Serious Accidents
Consulting and Campaigns to Promote Safety Culture
Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (Acting President Hwang Hakbeom, YGPA) announced on October 14 that it had signed a safety cooperation agreement with the Korea Industrial Safety Association on October 13 to promote safety culture and prevent serious accidents among workers. The signing ceremony was attended by Hong Sangpyo, Vice President of Operations at Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority, and Ahn Doyoung, Head of the Jeonnam Branch of the Korea Industrial Safety Association.

View original imageThis agreement was pursued to enable both organizations to cooperate in preventing serious accidents, enhance safety management capabilities, and establish a sustainable safety management system.
Both parties pledged to jointly conduct consulting and campaigns to promote safety culture, cooperate to spread safety culture at workplaces, collaborate on safety education and the establishment of safety and health management systems to prevent serious accidents, provide technical support and cooperation for inspections to ensure the safety of facilities, and actively cooperate in operating and expanding the shared use of safety equipment.
In particular, the authority plans to ensure reliability by working with specialized safety organizations on matters such as improving the AI safety equipment sharing project and reviewing safety regulations in the future.
