[Today's New Product] Pulmuone Launches "Earth Diet Low-Sugar Stir-Fried Jjamppong"
Deep Flavor with Five Vegetables Including Carrot and Cabbage
Renewal Launch of "Earth Diet Uni Jjajangmyeon" Strengthens the Product Lineup
Pulmuone Foods announced on October 14 that it has launched a new product, "Low-Sugar Stir-Fried Jjamppong," under its plant-based food brand "Pulmuone Earth Diet."
The "Earth Diet Low-Sugar Stir-Fried Jjamppong" is a 100% plant-based (including ingredients not classified as animal or plant origin) Chinese noodle dish, featuring a natural flavor created with five vegetables: carrot, cabbage, bok choy, onion, and green onion. In addition, it is a low-sugar, reduced-sodium product developed with Pulmuone Earth Diet's nutritional expertise, allowing consumers to enjoy both taste and nutrition.
In particular, Pulmuone has newly developed and applied a chewy fresh noodle to enhance the signature spiciness and rich sauce flavor of jjamppong. When stir-fried over high heat, the moisture in the fresh noodles evaporates, allowing the sauce to be absorbed into the noodles. Furthermore, the more the noodles are stir-fried, the chewier they become, and they do not stick together, improving both cooking convenience and texture satisfaction.
Pulmuone Earth Diet's existing plant-based jjajangmyeon product, "Uni Jjajangmyeon," will also be relaunched with a low-sugar, reduced-sodium formula. Since its debut in December 2021, Uni Jjajangmyeon has gained recognition as a plant-based jjajangmyeon option.
Through this Uni Jjajangmyeon renewal, Pulmuone has enhanced the nutritional benefits compared to the previous version and improved both the noodles and toppings. The newly developed fresh noodles provide a chewier texture and are suitable for one-pan cooking. Additionally, five types of vegetable toppings have been added for a richer texture, and the front of the package clearly indicates that the product is low in sugar and sodium.

A Pulmuone Foods representative stated, "There is a strong perception that jjajangmyeon and jjamppong, which are among Koreans' favorite Chinese dishes, are far from being healthy foods. However, the 'Earth Diet Low-Sugar Chinese Noodles' are specially designed with nutrition in mind, making them a guilt-free option." The representative added, "Pulmuone Earth Diet will continue to introduce noodle dishes that deliver both great taste and health benefits, expanding our consumer base."
