About 17,000 Gwangju Students to Take College Entrance Exam; City Office of Education Launches Management Headquarters
40 Test Sites and 645 Rooms to Be Operated,

12,658 Current Students and 4,243 Graduates to Take the Exam
The Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education will operate the Gwangju Management Headquarters for District 26 to support the 2026 College Scholastic Ability Test, which will be taken by approximately 17,000 candidates.
The management headquarters is responsible for checking the detailed implementation plan and work processing guidelines for the exam, overseeing the transport and storage of test papers and answer sheets, assigning supervisors to test sites and rooms, implementing measures to prevent cheating, taking action in the event of a disaster, and responding to emergencies on the test day.
According to the Office of Education on October 14, forty schools have been designated as regular test sites, and one school has been designated as a reserve test site. A total of 645 test rooms will be operated, and each test site will have a separate room for candidates who are ill and a waiting room for those who do not take the test.
More than 3,300 personnel, including management staff and supervisors, will be deployed for operations. Eighty police officers will be responsible for escorting test papers and answer sheets and patrolling around the test sites, while forty paramedics will be stationed at the test sites. Since May, the Office of Education has conducted three rounds of inspections at the test sites and has upgraded broadcasting facilities.
For the College Scholastic Ability Test scheduled for November 13, 17,731 candidates from the Gwangju area will take the exam. This is an increase of 885 from the previous year. The number of current students is 12,658 (71.4%), up by 974 from last year; the number of graduates is 4,243 (23.9%), a decrease of 177; and other candidates, including those who passed the qualification exam, total 830 (4.7%), an increase of 88.

Test-takers must collect their exam admission tickets on the morning of November 12, the day before the test. Current students and graduates will receive their tickets at their respective schools, while those who passed the qualification exam and graduates from other cities or provinces will receive theirs at the Gwangju Education Research and Information Institute. After receiving the admission ticket, candidates should check the location of their test site and review the important instructions. They must also check the list of prohibited items, such as electronic devices. On the test day, they must bring their admission ticket, identification card, packed lunch, and drinking water.
