FSS Launches October Campaign to Eradicate Financial Crimes Affecting Livelihoods
The Financial Supervisory Service announced on October 1 that it will conduct a public awareness campaign throughout October to prevent financial crimes affecting people's livelihoods, such as illegal financial investments, virtual asset scams, and unauthorized fundraising schemes.
The campaign aims to raise investor awareness and foster a sound investment culture. To make the content of the videos easy and entertaining to understand, a quiz event will also be held.
To participate, individuals must watch three promotional videos, each totaling five minutes, and then answer and submit ten quiz questions. Applications can be made through the Financial Supervisory Service website, as well as via YouTube, Instagram, blogs, Naver homepage, Band app, and job platforms (Albamon, AlbaCheonguk, Incruit, JobKorea) by accessing the quiz event posts.
Participants in the quiz event will be eligible for a prize draw, with a total of 1,000 winners. The prizes are as follows: First prize (20 winners) - Hyundai Department Store gift certificate worth 50,000 won; Second prize (30 winners) - Starbucks gift certificate worth 40,000 won; Third prize (50 winners) - BBQ Golden Olive Chicken and 1.25L cola; Fourth prize (100 winners) - CU mobile gift certificate worth 10,000 won; Fifth prize (800 winners) - one Starbucks iced Americano.

The Financial Supervisory Service stated, "We expect that relatable content and participation, using recent financial scam cases, will raise investor awareness and strengthen the response capabilities of financial consumers." The agency added, "We will continue to make various efforts to eradicate financial scams and foster a sound investment culture in the future."
