The Ministry of Personnel Management announced on October 1, 2025, that it will publicly recruit for 18 open positions, including Director of the National Institute of Health at the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, in order to attract specialized talent.
The positions open for application include nine director-general or bureau-level positions and nine director-level positions across 15 ministries. Among these, the following are designated as career-open positions for which only civilian professionals can apply: ▲Minister-Counselor at the Embassy of Chile and Minister-Counselor and Director of the Korean Cultural Center at the Embassy of France at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs ▲Director of the Defense Daily at the Defense Media Agency, Ministry of National Defense ▲Director of Digital Communication Content at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism ▲Director of the Faculty at the National Tax Officials Training Institute, National Tax Service ▲Spokesperson at the Overseas Koreans Agency.
