With this award, the city has set a record by winning for five consecutive years, following the Excellence Award in 2021 and 2022, and the Special Award in 2023 and 2024.
This award is presented annually to outstanding local governments that have developed region-specific job policies and business models tailored to local characteristics, with the aim of discovering and widely sharing exemplary local job creation policies.
The Local Job Target Public Announcement System is a program in which local governments autonomously establish job targets and measures suited to their regional characteristics, publicly announce them to residents, and have their performance evaluated.
The city received high marks for its efforts in the following areas: maintaining sustainable rural and fishing communities and creating region-specific jobs; overcoming the risk of population decline in western Hwaseong; revitalizing local employment through customized job support; responding to digital transformation, carbon neutrality, and the green economy; creating sustainable jobs amid industrial structural changes; ensuring high-quality jobs and protecting labor rights; and establishing a dedicated organization for industrial safety.
