Reexamining the Industrial and Historical Significance of the Banwol Dyeing Complex
The city of Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, announced on October 1 that it held the opening ceremony for the special exhibition "Journey of Thread: From Fingertips to Robots" at the Ansan Industrial History Museum on September 30.

View original imageThis exhibition reexamines the industrial and historical significance of the Banwol Dyeing Complex in Ansan, a hub of the textile industry, by tracing the journey of thread from its origins, through human hands, mechanization during the Industrial Revolution, and on to robotic automation.
The exhibition showcases major artifacts representing the textile industry, such as the circular knitting machine and winding machine, as well as advanced equipment including automated sewing robots. Immersive videos and hands-on programs are also available, offering visitors an experience that connects the past, present, and future.

The special exhibition runs until June 14 next year. During the exhibition period, the city also plans to operate related educational and experiential programs.
