Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Apologizes to the Public and Gyeongju Citizens over Promotional Banners for KHNP Support Project at Wolseong Nuclear Power Headquarters
Jeon Daeuk, acting president of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, issued an apology to the public and the citizens of Gyeongju at the Gyeongju Chamber of Commerce and Industry on September 22 regarding the recent controversy over promotional banners for the KHNP support project at the Wolseong Nuclear Power Headquarters.
Acting President Jeon Daeuk stated, "The banners were intended to promote the KHNP support project, but in the process, we failed to thoroughly review the appropriateness of their content and expressions. As a result, we have caused significant hurt and distrust among the public and the citizens of Gyeongju. Moving forward, we will pay closer attention to public sentiment and the local community’s perspective in all external activities, and we will rigorously reassess our internal verification and decision-making procedures to ensure that this does not happen again."
