Yongsan District's First Screen Park Golf Course Opens at Municipal Senior Welfare Center Hannam Branch

Yongsan District in Seoul (District Mayor Park Heeyoung) announced on the 19th that it held an opening ceremony for the "Yongsan Screen Park Golf Hannam Branch" at the Yongsan Senior Welfare Center on the 18th and has begun operations. This facility is the first indoor screen park golf course established among Seoul’s municipal senior welfare centers and is also the first of its kind as a public facility in Yongsan District.
Park golf, unlike regular golf, is a recreational sport that can be enjoyed with just one club. It is especially popular among the elderly due to its low cost and convenient accessibility. The indoor screen park golf course offers even greater convenience, as it can be used regardless of the weather.
The "Yongsan Screen Park Golf Hannam Branch" is equipped with two screen booths and one putting area, with up to four people able to use each booth simultaneously. Each booth is stocked with two golf clubs available for free rental, and beginner lessons are also offered. The putting area is equipped with stretching bands to encourage sufficient warm-up, and a manager is always present to provide guidance and minimize the risk of injury from excessive movements.
Prior to official operations, a free trial period is being held from September 15 to October 11, after which paid usage will begin on October 13. The usage fee is 3,500 won per person, and users can reserve a slot through the kiosk on the first floor of the welfare center to use the facility for up to 1 hour and 50 minutes.
Park Heeyoung, Mayor of Yongsan District, stated, "We have established an indoor screen park golf course at a nearby welfare center so that seniors can comfortably enjoy leisure activities at any time," adding, "We will continue to provide support for vibrant daily lives for our residents."

The district plans to use the opening of this facility as an opportunity to expand sports opportunities for seniors, while continuously increasing leisure and cultural spaces accessible to all residents. In November, a park golf putting practice center will open in Yongmun-dong, and within the year, the "Yongsan Screen Park Golf Samgakji Branch (Hangangno-dong)" and "Namsan Branch (Yongsan 2-ga-dong)" will be introduced in succession.
