Samcheok City Dementia Relief Center Staff Receives Commendation from Minister of Health and Welfare
Adding Significance with the Grand Prize for Excellence in the "Zero Undiagnosed Dementia Cases Project" in Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province
Samcheok City in Gangwon Province announced on September 19 that a staff member from the Dementia Relief Center, who contributed to dementia prevention and management, received a commendation from the Minister of Health and Welfare at the 18th Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Dementia Awareness Day event held on September 18.
In addition, the Samcheok City Dementia Relief Center was selected as one of the top institutions for reducing the number of undiagnosed dementia cases in Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province for 2025, and also received the Grand Prize from the Director of the Gangwon Provincial Dementia Center.
The "Zero Undiagnosed Dementia Cases Project" aims to establish a focused response system to detect and diagnose undiagnosed dementia cases early, prevent cognitive decline through rapid connection to care, and support patients in leading healthy lives. The Samcheok City Dementia Relief Center achieved outstanding results by actively promoting dementia screenings and encouraging participation.
