'Pyeongtaek International Peace Forum' to Be Held at Courtyard by Marriott Pyeongtaek on the 18th

Pyeongtaek City, Gyeonggi Province will hold the 2025 Pyeongtaek International Peace Forum at Courtyard by Marriott Pyeongtaek on September 18.

This forum, held under the theme "The Future of the South Korea-U.S. Alliance Amid Changing International Order," will consist of two sessions: strengthening the South Korea-U.S. alliance and South Korea-U.S.-Japan cooperation for peace on the Korean Peninsula, and directions for joint development between U.S. Forces Korea and Pyeongtaek City.

Through this forum, the city aims to explore Pyeongtaek's role as a key axis of peace in Northeast Asia and seek cooperation strategies to respond to the shifting international landscape.

Pyeongtaek Mayor Jung Jangsun stated, "Through the forum, we will seek ways for Pyeongtaek to overcome international crises surrounding the Korean Peninsula and move forward in a new direction," adding, "We will incorporate the forum's discussions into city policies and strive to become an international city that leads new issues across various fields."
