A Family Festival Featuring Bare-Handed Fish Catching, Singing Contests, and Live Performances
Boryeong City in South Chungcheong Province announced on September 11 that the "2025 Muchangpo Autumn Giant Prawn and Gizzard Shad Festival," where visitors can savor seasonal seafood delicacies from the autumn sea, will be held from September 12 to 28 throughout the Muchangpo Port area in Boryeong.
This annual event, which has established itself as the region's representative fishing village festival, not only offers giant prawns and gizzard shad at affordable prices, but also features a variety of hands-on experiences and performances that can be enjoyed by people of all ages.
The main program, the "bare-handed fish catching experience," will be held every weekend with registration for children on a first-come, first-served basis. In the singing contest, where tourists and local residents participate together, seafood will be given as prizes.
