"Olympic Shooting Heroes Gather"… National Police Chief's Cup Shooting Competition Kicks Off
September 11-17 at Changwon International Shooting Range
The National Police Agency announced on September 11 that it will co-host the 34th National Police Chief's Cup Shooting Competition with the Korea Shooting Federation at the Changwon International Shooting Range until September 17.
The Police Chief's Cup Shooting Competition was established in 1992 as part of the 47th Police Day celebrations. Along with the Presidential Security Service Chief's Cup, General Hong Beomdo Cup, Shooting Federation President's Cup, Bonghwang Cup, IBK Industrial Bank President's Cup, and Daegu Mayor's Cup, it also serves as a national team selection tournament.
This year's competition features a total of 19 events. A total of 2,823 athletes from 396 teams will compete across the middle school, high school, university, general, and disabled divisions. Medalists from the 2024 Paris Olympics, including Ban Hyojin, Yang Jiin, Oh Yejin, Cho Youngjae, Geum Jihyun, and Park Hajun, will also participate.
