Hwaseong City Raises Local Currency Purchase Limit to 1 Million Won for September and October
10% Incentive Applied
Usable at Merchants with Annual Sales Up to 3 Billion Won
Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced on September 2 that, starting this month and continuing through October, it will double the monthly purchase limit for its local currency, "Hope Hwaseong Local Currency," from 500,000 won to 1,000,000 won.
The incentive rate will remain at 10% of the purchase amount, so if you charge 1,000,000 won, you will receive an incentive of 100,000 won.
In particular, until November 30, the deadline for using the government’s livelihood recovery consumption coupons, the local currency can also be used at consumption coupon merchants with annual sales of 3 billion won or less, in addition to the existing affiliated stores.
The city explained that it raised the purchase limit for the local currency to stimulate consumption and revitalize the local economy, in line with the government’s policy of supporting people’s livelihoods.
