Gyeonggi Province to Host Large-Scale Public Service Fair for the First Time in Six Years at Suwon Convention Center on September 10-11
Gyeonggi Province, in collaboration with the Ministry of Personnel Management, will host the "2025 Public Service Fair" at Suwon Convention Center over two days on September 10 and 11.
This event is significant as it marks the first large-scale, government-wide fair in six years, following a period during which the fair was held only online or through visits to individual schools due to COVID-19. More than 70 organizations, including central government ministries, local governments, and public institutions, will participate.
At the Public Service Recruitment Hall, visitors will be introduced to open competitive recruitment and career competitive recruitment systems, as well as recruitment programs for socially vulnerable groups such as people with disabilities and those from low-income backgrounds. There will also be a recruitment hall offering tailored consultations for each institution where candidates wish to work. In the mock interview booth, participants can experience a civil service interview firsthand and receive feedback from current employees.
During the fair, Gyeonggi Province will focus on promoting its "Open Gyeonggi Public Service, Where Everyone Can Demonstrate Their Abilities" initiative. This includes the "Outstanding Talent Selection System," which Gyeonggi introduced in 2023 as the first among local governments, as well as recruitment of high school graduates and support for employees with disabilities.
Additionally, this year, the number of fields for consultations with current employees will increase from three-open recruitment, outstanding talent, and high school graduate recruitment-to a total of five, with the addition of civil servants with disabilities and firefighting officers.
There will also be a variety of hands-on programs for visitors, including the "Gyeonggi Public Service Life Photo Booth" featuring a civil servant ID card background, and a quiz event on Gyeonggi Province’s recruitment systems where participants can receive the Gyeonggi provincial character "Bonggong-i."
