[2026 Early Admission] Hanbat National University to Establish Advanced Departments... 58 Students to Be Recruited Through Early Admission
2,029 Students to Be Admitted Through Early Admission
Two New Advanced Departments to Open: Space and Healthcare
Hanbat National University will admit 2,029 students, accounting for 95.1% of its total enrollment quota, through the 2026 early admission process.
Notably, for the 2026 academic year, two new advanced departments will be established to recruit freshmen. The Department of Advanced Space and Defense will admit 35 students, and the Department of Big Data Healthcare Convergence will admit 30 students, for a total of 75 students. Of these, 58 will be selected through the early admission process.
To strengthen students' options in choosing their majors, the Convergence Autonomous College will admit 487 students, which is 25% of the total freshman quota. In this early admission, a total of 471 students will be selected through the School Record (General) and Regional Talent (School Record) tracks in four divisions: the Division of Interdisciplinary Studies (159 students), the Division of Engineering and Construction (161 students), the Division of Information Technology (75 students), and the Division of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Economics (76 students).
By admission type, the School Record track (including Regional Talent) will recruit a total of 1,192 students, and there will be no minimum standardized test score requirement. The evaluation weights for the School Record track are 90% for academic records and 10% for non-academic factors (attendance). For common and general elective subjects, the top three grades in Korean, English, and Mathematics, and the top four grades in Social Studies and Science, will be considered. For career elective subjects, the top three grades among Korean, English, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science will be reflected. Subjects for which grades are not assigned will not be considered, and the weighting of subject groups will vary depending on the academic track.
The Comprehensive School Record (General and Integrated Bachelor's-Master's) track will select students based 100% on document evaluation (school records). Some tracks, such as the Regional Talent (Comprehensive) track, will include an interview evaluation. The selection process consists of two stages: in the first stage, five times the number of available spots will be selected through document evaluation; in the second stage, final candidates will be chosen based on 70% of the first stage document evaluation score and 30% from the interview. For the interview, two interviewers will ask questions based on the applicant's school records. Common interview questions will be announced when the list of first-stage successful candidates (those invited for interviews) is published.

To consider students' diverse abilities and backgrounds, Hanbat National University has diversified its comprehensive school record admissions by introducing the Software Talent track and the Adult Learner track. The Software Talent track will admit a total of nine students across four departments: Mobile Convergence Engineering (2 students), Artificial Intelligence Software (2 students), Intelligent Media Engineering (2 students), and Computer Engineering (3 students). The Adult Learner track will admit 10 students to evening programs. The selection process involves a first round where five times the number of available spots are chosen based solely on document evaluation, followed by a second round in which the final candidates are determined by combining 70% from the document evaluation and 30% from the interview.
