Honam Branch Launches "Digital Doctor" Program
to Strengthen Employees' Digital Skills
Customized Training in Collaboration with Regional Digital Learning Centers
The Honam Branch of the Korea Labor Foundation (Branch Manager Kang Sooyoung) announced on September 1 that, starting from September 4, it will operate the "Digital Doctor" program to support the enhancement of digital capabilities among its employees. This initiative will be carried out in cooperation with digital learning centers in the Honam region, including KTcs Jeonbuk Digital Learning Center (Center Director Choi Inchang), International Co., Ltd. (Chairman Kim Jeongsu), and KTcs Jeju Digital Learning Center (Center Director Kim Namyoung).
The "Digital Doctor" program is an on-site, hands-on digital education initiative jointly promoted by the Honam Branch of the Korea Labor Foundation and the Honam-Jeju Digital Learning Centers. It is tailored to meet the needs of individual companies. Beginning in September, dedicated Digital Doctors will be assigned to each regional center (Jeonbuk, Gwangju, and Jeju) of the Honam Branch to provide training that strengthens digital skills, such as practical applications of AI.
This program was designed to support work innovation based on IT technology and the practical enhancement of digital skills, in line with the Lee Jaemyung administration's core policy goal of making Korea one of the top three AI powerhouses in the world (achieving the world's number one AI government and fully digitalizing administrative services).
The main training topics include smart working tools utilizing generative AI, the use of efficiency tools such as ChatGPT for work, and promotional strategies using social media. The program will be conducted separately at the Middle-aged Tomorrow Centers within the Honam Branch (Jeonbuk, Gwangju, Jeju).
