BYD Korea Highlights Service Quality with '6-Year, 150,000km Basic Warranty'
Building a Reputation Beyond Value-for-Money
Prioritizing Service Quality and Customer Trust for Long-Term Growth
BYD Korea is pursuing a long-term growth strategy that prioritizes service quality and customer trust, moving beyond its image as a value-for-money brand selling high-performance electric vehicles at affordable prices. Rather than focusing on rapidly increasing sales in the short term, the company aspires to become a brand that customers can choose with confidence for many years to come.
On the 28th, BYD Korea announced that it provides a basic warranty of six years or 150,000 kilometers for customers who purchase its vehicles. This exceeds the average in the imported car industry, and the company also offers emergency roadside assistance and free towing services under the same conditions. To address concerns about the safety and durability of electric vehicle batteries, BYD Korea presents its industry-leading warranty and emergency support system as a key competitive advantage.
In addition, BYD Korea will establish 25 official service centers by the end of the year, expanding its service network to major regional hubs. Although the initial investment is significant, the company aims to create a system that guarantees the same service quality regardless of where customers live in the long term, ensuring 'A/S accessibility,' which is the most sensitive issue for Korean customers.
Cho Incheol, head of BYD Korea's passenger vehicle division, said, "Korean consumers value the authenticity of a brand as much as price or performance," adding, "BYD places greater importance on long-term trust and partnership than on short-term results, and aims to become a true partner in the Korean market."
