Sangmyung University Korean Language and Culture Center Selected for "Korean Language Officer Activation Project"
Promoting the Use of Plain Korean for Human Tissue Terminology
in Collaboration with the Korea Public Tissue Bank
Sangmyung University Korean Language and Culture Center announced on August 20 that it has been selected for the "2025 Korean Language Officer Activation Support Project" organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
This project aims to promote the Korean Language Officer system within public institutions and to spread a culture of using correct and easy-to-understand public language that the public can easily comprehend.
The Korean Language and Culture Center will collaborate with the Korea Public Tissue Bank to simplify specialized terms related to human tissues into plain Korean that is accessible to the general public.
Through this initiative, the center plans to enhance the readability of public language and facilitate smooth communication with the public.
The Korea Public Tissue Bank, an institution under the Ministry of Health and Welfare, manages human tissue grafts for the public good and is responsible for restoring public health and ensuring physical safety.
