View original imageOn August 18, Gwangju and South Jeolla Province are expected to experience a heat wave with maximum perceived temperatures around 35 degrees Celsius.
According to the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration, the region will be affected by a high-pressure system moving eastward from the seas near Jeju Island on this day.
For the time being, the maximum perceived temperature is expected to reach around 35 degrees Celsius, resulting in sweltering conditions, and a heat wave advisory may be issued. Morning lows will range from 22 to 25 degrees Celsius, while daytime highs will reach 31 to 34 degrees Celsius.
